Applying Rust Inhibitor.
As we sandblast the metal, we can apply a rust inhibitor.
The rust inhibitor is mixed with the blast media and comes out as wet grit. Hence the name Spit-the-Grit.
We use RapidHold SuperStrength™.
RapidHold SuperStrength™ is a potent concentrated water-based rust inhibitor that can be used to prevent flash rusting of steel after cleaning. Once applied to steel, it forms a non-greasy, invisible film on the surface. The film passivates the metal surface and inhibits the formation of superficial flash rust. It is the ideal solution for protecting metal products after wet sandblasting, acid cleaning or solvent cleaning.
